That whole thing that people like to call "Spring Cleaning" always annoys me.
I clean. Every.Day.
Why do I need to have a special season to clean even MORE?I don't.
So instead of "Spring Cleaning" I made a list of things I want to get done before Elliot turns 3 (when does he turn 3? June! ahhh!!!)
One of my most favorite blogs, Seriously, a Homemaker, posted her "Spring Things" list last week and it's had my brain working ever since. I loved how she took a picture of her list, so I did too (thanks for letting me copy you Angie!) (ps, if you want to be majorly impressed, you should check our her Spring Things list. I am in awe of her....for reals)Without further ado, my very very short list:
told you it was short |
yup, 4 things. 4 whole things. |
And I put it on "recycled" paper. Otherwise known as, paper-that-was-in-perfectly-good-condition-until-the-crazy-children-got-a-hold-of-it. |
So, my list consists of: Dusting the ceiling fans, (finish) painting the master bedroom, paint the laundry room and plant a garden (our first one! so excited!).
I love looking at "Spring Cleaning" (blegh) as more than just cleaning.....more like a time to get things done. Notice I didn't have the word "clean" on that list anywhere? That's cause it's my nemesis :)
So, wanna tell me what your plans are for the next couple months? Any fun projects or plans or, heaven-forbid, "cleaning"?
I love your lust! every time I type list in my phone it autocorrects to "lust", so lusts are awesome! Especially yours! It only has 4 things, but dang! A garden? I used to say I was going to plant one every spring, but I am facing reality this year. I like the inside of my house way better! Thanks for the blog love, Em! I heart u.
ReplyDelete@Angie You just made my day Angie, thank you!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, we are so working on a garden, and then, hopefully, canning.
ReplyDeleteI love this, what a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI have no plans beyond trying to keep us all alive.
That's not reaching for the stars though....
Hmm, I have this box... and it's full of crap that belongs downstairs but was upstairs. I moved the box downstairs, but I haven't so much put the stuff away. It's been sitting here for a while... maybe for "spring cleaning" I should put that stuff away? I don't know. It seems like a big commitment.
ReplyDelete@Hilary Keeping everyone alive is a GREAT plan hahaha!
ReplyDelete@Morgan -Ing Boxes full of crap are overrated. I've totally got your back if it stays put for awhile longer, and by "awhile" I mean indefinitely =)
ReplyDeleteI am seriously spring cleaning my house - doing a big declutter and I so love to have a house of order and space - need my space!
ReplyDelete@Naomidecluttering feels so so so so good! It is such a gratifying thing!
