10 Minute Monday!

Last week I joined in the 10 minute Monday fun with Seriously, a Homemaker and have decided my house would appreciate me doing it every week.
So, it's Monday and here we are, 10 minutes spent on a spot in my home that has been driving me NUTS (and I tell myself I never have time to fix it. No longer people, no longer.)

it has begun

the juice cup cupboard! AHHH!!! (seriously, stuff falls out of this cupboard every time it is opened)

the solution? Pack up a bunch of mugs on the top shelf we never ever use and put them in the "yard sale" pile =)

this actually took me under 10 minutes.....so I lied when I took this picture....

This 10 Minute thing is good, I can handle 10 minutes at a time.

Have a super fantastic Monday!

10 Minute Monday with Seriously a Homemaker!

One of my favorite favorite favorite bloggers is Angie at Seriously, a homemaker!
She has this great idea for 10-Minute-Monday (here is her post about it) and I am totally going to join in the fun (ok, it may not be that fun, but it's so awesome when the 10 minutes is over!)
For my 10-Minute-Monday project I decided to tackle the little nook area where our phone sits.....and next to our phone is a whole bunch of crap stuff that doesn't belong there, see look:

Even Mr. Potato Head gets in on the action. And do you see not 1, but 2 phones there? Yes, I know. It's kind of ridiculous. And note the completely overflowing pens in the cool striped pot. Oh, and we can't forget the random papers and bills that are 3 months old that I have yet to file away.

So, I set my timer to 10 minutes and went at it. This is what I ended up with:

Quite a bit better yes? I walk by it now (about 57 times a day) and feel a lot less stress. Isn't it funny how clutter stresses you out? I'm a total stress-bucket around clutter (just ask the hubbyman......he's got stories).

Oh, and if you're wondering about the random pigs, they're kind of my thing.....I collect piggy banks. The blue one is from Cozumel Mexico (honeymoon, woot woot!) and the little one says "chocolate cravings" on it, which my totally awesome husband got for me for our anniversary last year. He knows me well enough to know that piggy banks with the word "chocolate" on them are the best gift you could ever give me =)

Ok, it's early yet people......want to join in on the 10-Minute-Monday fun? Let me know how it goes!
